CHRISTOPHER PAUL GUIDO
With the publication of The Greens and the Grays, Death and Decay, author Christopher Paul Guido completed his crossover from corporate America to globally-minded literary citizen. His vision is a simple one: To advocate for our environment, perhaps the most important issue of our time.
Our environment has become one of the biggest issues facing the next generation. As the father of two teenage girls, author Christopher Paul Guido set out to craft a story that would help enlighten youthful readers about the need to safeguard the only earth we have. In The Greens and the Grays, Death and Decay, Guido creates a colorful world that serves as an allegory for our current global environmental crisis.
The book’s publication marks the completion of Guido’s own crossover from corporate America to globally-minded literary citizen. It has been a ‘crossover,’ not a ‘transition.’ This is an important distinction. The change that we must make as a society ultimately needs to permeate both the individual psyche and the corporate culture.
Guido’s background positions him to understand this reality. He is a successful corporate vice president who has worked for a variety of credit card issuers throughout his 20-plus years in the industry. His business development efforts have delivered a number of Fortune 500 co-brand card partnerships.
He has participated on numerous industry panels, spoken on-stage at partner events, and presented to key industry executives who represent a wide variety of industries, including: automotive manufacturers, healthcare companies, hospitality organizations, insurance companies, online and brick-and-mortar retailers, and top franchise companies.
His career has enabled him to see much of our world, and visits to extraordinary countries such as South Korea, helped to inspire one of the intrinsic themes within the book.
Born on Long Island in May, 1969, Guido has spent much of his life in the South and Middle America. He graduated from high school just outside Atlanta, Georgia. He met his wife shortly after completing his Political Science degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, a few years before his thirtieth birthday.
Although he ‘thinks globally,’ Chris currently lives and ‘acts locally’ in a suburb of Philadelphia with his wife, two daughters and their dog, Enzo. Besides spending time with his family, one of his favorite pastimes is reading.
Chris is currently imagining where the next book in The Greens and the Grays Series with take the characters, as they continue to come of age in a world with forces seemingly bent on destroying the only home they have.
A portion of all profits made from the Green and the Grays, Daylight and Decay series will be donated towards groups that teach our youth the importance of standing up for themselves as well as a handful of orgianizations that support our environment around the globe and beyond.
